The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, popularly known as the IESL, is the premier professional body for engineers in Sri Lanka. It has a history spanning a period of more than 100 years. Its membership which has grown over the years presently stands at around 15,000 covering almost all disciplines of engineering. There are many attractions and benefits to those who join the IESL which is committed towards uplifting the status and the interests of the engineering profession in the country.
