Dear Eligible Voter,
UPDATING CONTACT DETAILS AND VOTING PREFERENCE FOR IESL ELECTIONS - 2023
- IESL Council has amended the voting procedure for electing members to the Council with effect from year 2021 in order to gain maximum advantage of the technology advancements, reduce the administrative difficulties/ cost and introduce more user-friendly/ convenient voting method. Thus, all members are encouraged to go for Electronic voting wherever possible.
2. Voting facilities shall be provided for each voter in the following manner:
a. Voters Residing Overseas:
Overseas members will have only the option of electronic voting.
b. Voters Residing in Sri Lanka:
(i) The voters residing in Sri Lanka may select the most convenient way of voting for themselves; voting either through electronic ballot (highly recommended) or paper ballot (only one option).
(ii) By taking into consideration the present situation in the country, the voters who opted for manual voting will receive the ballot paper ONLY (Candidates’ CV’s etc can be viewed only on the IESL website) as decided by the CRO in consultation with the Council. On completion of marking the votes and enclosing the same in the envelopes provided, the voters shall post the ballot paper or deposit the same in the ballot box kept at the IESL Secretariat before the closing time of voting. It is the responsibility of the individual voter to select the most appropriate method of dispatching the voting papers to be received by the Institution before the voting closing time.
(iii) Those who do not indicate their preference will be given ONLY Electronic voting facility.
- In accordance with voting procedure amendments, all members are requested to fill the online form (click: Here) ONLY IF THE AVAILABLE RECORDS ARE INCORRECT/INCOMPLETE or update the individual member profile by logging into the IESL MIS system (preferred) on or before 30th June 2023.
- Corporate members who were on the Roll on 31st March 2023 and whose names are listed in the Eligible Voter List (click: Here ) are eligible for voting.
