Recognized Training

Recognized Training, which is also now referred to as Initial Professional Development is the training undertaken at an approved organization to enable the young engineer to adapt to an industrial environment. This training should be under the guidance of a Corporate Member of the IESL

Recognized Organisations for Training

Organizations and institutions that are recognized for training of engineers are classified according to the basic engineering disciplines, such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc. The training afforded by these organizations may be complete or may be partial depending on the facilities available. The period of such recognition could vary from two to five years, after which re-evaluation of the organization is required

Apply to Become a Recognized Institution for Professional Development
It is important for the furtherance and growth of the Engineering profession that as many organizations that have qualified staff & adequate facilities, provide training for the initial professional development of young engineers. Therefore if your Organisation has a strong engineering bias & has all or part of the following:
  • Specialization in one or more Engineering disciplines.
  • Adequate construction or manufacturing capabilities.
  • Qualified Engineering staff.
  • Good design & development capabilities.
